MRS. KIRK’S INFANT SCHOOL
We had the pleasure of attending the regular examination of Mrs. Kirk’s Infant School, in a company with quite a large number of visitors on Friday last, and take occasion to express the high gratification it afforded us in common with all who witnessed. it. So many happy faces we have seldom seen together as in the case of these little children, who are as well drilled as accompany of regulars under the judicious training of Mrs. K. After the exercises were partially through, they gathered around a table bountifully supplied with everything which could be supposed to enter most largely into the visions of youngsters of their age, such as cakes, candies, fruits, etc., and after regaling themselves to their hearts content, the exercises were resumed and were closed in a very impressive manner with all the little ones repeating the Lord’s Prayer. There will be a vacation of two weeks, as we understand.
