Pike, an active enterprizing man and a useful citizen, extensively known as broker and lottery agent.  The funeral will take place from his late residence on Summer street tomorrow at 2 o'clock.  The friends and acquaintances of the family are requested to attend.

OBITUARY.  Departed this life on Sunday the 18th instant after an illness of about 30 hours, Samuel Lyon, infant son of Mr. Alpheus Lyon at the residence of his grandfather, M. C. Dunn, Esquire of this county.  If the kind solicitude of friends and relatives could have prevented or averted the arrow of the monster death, it never would have fastened in thy young and tender heart.  But thou art fallen, thou art nipped like the rose in the bud, ere thy beauties had expanded or thou hadst tasted the vain and transitory things of this wicked world.
