He is said to be one of the largest animals of the kind ever known to be on exhibition in the United States. He is 4 1/2 high, 11 1/2 feet long and weighs eighteen hundred pounds. His thorough education, and his wonderful performances have created quite a sensation in American as well as Europe. Anyone wishing to purchase, can do well, and make his money back in a short time by exhibiting him through the country. Independent fortunes have been made on this animal, and can yet be made. My husband having died, and having no one to attend to the bear, he is now offered for sale. Call at the third brick house on Wire Bridge, Edgefield. A good title can be given. Mrs. N. Turk
Nancy Morrow Turk had received Widows Pension as the widow of William Blount Turk for his service in the Mexican War as Private Co. H. 5th Tennessee Regiment.
