Who was born February 17^th
1776 and died May 1, 1830.

The monument is dedicated
by his surviving wife and sons
as a testimony of their love for
his person and their respect for
his virtues.  By his virtues he
raised to himself a monument
more precious than gold, more durable
than marble.

History
This tombstone was relocated from
the original family cemetery location
to the City Cemetery.
