*Spelling of first name. According to Jack Corn, descendant, Daniel Allen Birchett was a stone carver. He carved his wife’s tombstone and asked a friend how to spell her first name because he could not read or write. The friend misspelled the name which was “Lavania” and that is how her name was spelled on her tombstone. Information from Jack Corn 2015.
