Probable burial site for Robert W. Green in 28.2 (28 NE Lot 53). On this lot were buried the two above mentioned members of the Green family.

“We mentioned in our last, that the bodies of Robert W. Green, and five other soldiers, all of whom fell at the battle of Monterey, had arrived in this city, on board the steamer “Tennessee.” The remains were taken to the residence of Maj. Alex. Allison, where they remained until Thursday when they were conveyed to the First Presbyterian Church… Robert W. Green was buried in the City Cemetery immediately after the sermon…”
