David Johnson, a promising little boy of six or seven years, son of James Johnson, Esq., of the House of Johnson, Rayburn & Company, was instantly killed on Broad Street on Wednesday evening by the falling of a stone from a street blast, on his head.

Died in Davidson County of congestive fever, on he 20th instant, Mrs. Milly Austin, wife of Edwin Austin, in the 55th year of her age. She left a loving husband, thirteen children and numerous connections and friends to mourn her loss. By the death of the woman, her neighborhood and society have lost one of the brightest ornaments. In her younger days, she obtained an interest in our blessed Saviour and proclaimed about three hours before her departure that she had a hope of heaven and did not fear to die.
