Miss Cirilla Shirley
Daughter of First Merchant of Nashville Dies
PINE BLUFF, Ark. March 18 Special
Miss Cirilla Shirley, age 90 years, sister of the late Admiral, U.S.N., and a native of Nashville, Tenn., died Sunday afternoon at the home of her grandniece, Miss Mary Douglas, at Varner, from the result of burns sustained a few weeks ago. The body was sent to Nashville where the funeral will be held Wednesday. Miss Shirley was the owner of 640 acres of land in Cheatham County, a grant to her father who was the first merchant at Nashville.
