Genealogy Note:
Phereby S. Whyte was born in Greene Co., N.C. on Jan. 18, 1797 and died in Nashville on October 18, 1814. A daughter was born to the Whytes in Nashville in 1815 and was named Phereby Rachel Whyte. She married Joseph Erwin Craighead in Davidson County on July 31, 1833.
