Nashville Newspaper Vester Funeral Planned Today Funeral services for A. W. Vester (above), 74, retired park policeman, who died Sunday morning, will be held today at the home, 213 Thirtieth Avenue, North. Burial will follow in City Cemetery. Mr. Vester was a native of Nashville and spent nearly all his life here, receiving his education in the City Schools. He retired from his position as park policeman last June, after serving for twenty-five years. He also worked on the gate at Sulphur Dell baseball park and at Vanderbilt football games. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Will Marshall and the Rev. Leon Hooper. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Claudia Vester; two daughters, Mrs. H. B. Hooper and Mrs. Dempsey Doyle; two sons, Carl and James Vester; one brother, H. B. Vester, and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Edge. |
